Stunning artisan hand-dyed Shantung and Dupioni silk tassels that are one-of-a-kind and are ready to be added to a mala, key chain, tassel necklace or a purse tassel. Just looking at one of these tassels throughout the day can change one’s outlook. The tassels can be easily personalized by adding a favorite charm, talisman or decorated with gems.
Each tassel is designed with color play to bring out the stunning hand dyed colors and qualities of the silk. The neck of each tassel is then wrapped with a polyester cord perfectly accenting the silk. The tassels are then meticulously trimmed by hand to perfection.
The tassels do not have finished edges and will fray which is part of their artisan charm. Once the warp and weft of the silk weave are “square” there will be very minimal fray. An occasional trim of the fray, if desired, is all that is necessary for care. This silk has been color set to the extent that is possible with silk.
This listing is for one tassel without a charm. A charm or talisman can be purchased separately and can be added prior to shipping.
The tassels measure 5.5"- 6" long and can be cut to any length. The neck of the tassel is approximately 1/4” wide.
